The American Legion Memorial Golf Course seeks applications from qualified, ambitious, and dependable candidates for the full-time Golf Course Superintendent position. The superintendent manages all course maintenance operations, including turfgrass management, irrigation system upkeep and repair, grounds-maintenance equipment, and seasonal staff supervision. Candidates should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and a thorough understanding of agronomic practices, irrigation systems, and turf grass management to keep the course in excellent condition year-round. After hiring, he/she will receive orientation, administrative training, and guidance on secondary responsibilities of the Superintendent position.

Starting salary: $54,000-$59,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include up to $1,000 in relocation reimbursement, GCSAA Iowa Chapter dues, a $400 monthly health insurance stipend, paid time off, vacation scheduled around winter workload, and golf privileges with a cart. An early start is preferred, with a start date no later than March 1, 2027.
